I'm fundraising for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation!

On 28 April 1996 at the historical Port Arthur site in Tasmania, 35 people were tragically killed. 

Alannah and Madeline Mikac, aged six and three, along with their mother, died that day. Because of this terrible act of violence, Alannah and Madeline's father, Walter Mikac AM, and a small group of volunteers, worked to set up the Foundation with the belief that all children should have a safe and happy childhood without being subjected to any form of violence.

I have signed up to take part in a special 25th anniversary event in April 2022 and walk the Three Capes Track for the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.

This foundation is very close to my heart.  Having experienced violence and abuse in my childhood, I am well aware of the scars it leaves through to adulthood, if children don't get the necessary help and assistance they need.

Everyone has the right to be protected and feel safe, especially children. So I invite you to dig deep and support such an important cause. Our children are precious and ultimately are our future.
